All tastes are catered for when it comes to the ornithological menu at Falsterbo Bird Show. The Horse Show premises is the natural focal point for the multitude of activities.

Bird-watching for everybody is available both at the Horse Show arena and in different places on the Falsterbo peninsula.

There will be arranged excursions on offer during Falsterbo Bird Show. Our most experienced ornithologists will guide you to the hottest observation points at Falsterbo. They include the sand spit Måkläppen (5th September 9 am–1 pm) and Ängsnäset (5th September 2–4 pm). Pre-booking is necessary and can be done on the Bird Fair premises.

Bird guides will be present at some of the major vantage points. You can ask them anything about birds and bird migration and they will be happy to assist in identifying any migrating birds passing by. Visit them at:

Nabben Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September 6-10 am.

The lighthouse garden (outside the fence, please do not enter the garden itself) Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September 8–12 am.

Skanörs Ljung Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September 10 am–2 pm.

The Bird Fair premises where binoculars are on loan.

Bird ringing will be demonstrated by the Falsterbo Bird Observatory staff at the lighthouse garden on both Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September.

A film crew will film migrating birds live and transmit them to large screens on the fair premises.

Bird bingo will be played on the Bird Fair premises.

A photo competition takes place on Saturday 5th September and any visitor with a digital camera is invited. The winners in the three categories ”birds”, ”bird fair activities” and ”natural scenery” will be announced by a four-man team of judges in the lecture marquee in the evening.

Saturday evening continues with a public battle between the Swedish and Danish BirdLife partners in ornithological knowledge The competition (in Scandinavian language) will be tough and full of laughs, and perhaps tears, and the only certainty is that one winning team and one losing team will leave the marquee.

There are plenty of activities for children during the three days. Story-telling, horse-riding, bird art, making one’s own bird-feeder and much more to keep the young ones busy is offered.

And, as usual, Bivråkens Dag (Honey Buzzard Day) traditionally occupies the western part of Skanörs Ljung on Sunday 5th September 10 am–2 pm.

Music lovers will want to listen to Jalle Lorensson & Thomas Holst on Friday evening and Music and Migration on Saturday afternoon.

Restaurant, grill and pub all days!
