Falsterbo Bird Show is an annual international bird-watching event that will take place 2–4 September 2010 in Falsterbo, close to Copenhagen (Denmark) and Malmö (Sweden). It coincides with the spectacular autumn bird migration from Scandinavia. 7,000 nature-lovers, not only from Sweden and Denmark but also from other European countries, are expected to visit Falsterbo Bird Show and its associated trade fair this first year.

Falsterbo Bird Show is organised by the Swedish BirdLife partner SOF, the local society Skåne´s Ornithological Society and the Municipality of Vellinge in association with the Danish BirdLife partner DOF. It is a non-profit event and the purpose is to create awareness about and collect funds for bird conservation, as well as stimulating tourism to the Falsterbo peninsula. Apart from a trade fair and plenty of lectures there will be conservation-related activities and opportunities to make close encounters with birds and  bird research.

The trade fair takes place at the well-equipped arena that is used for the famous Falsterbo Horse Show in July every year. It is open 12 – 6 pm on Friday 2nd September, 9 am – 6 pm on Saturday 3rd September and 9 am – 4 pm on Sunday 4th September. There is a restaurant and a pub in the area, as well as lecture marquees and security after closing.

The visitors purchase day-tickets with unlimited admissions during their validity. A carefully designed lecture programme and the good food on offer aims at creating multiple entries to the fair area among ticketholders.
